Bio:

"Kristen Monnik, originally from South Africa, grew up in the New Orleans area and began studying the violin at the age of 7. During her 14 years of playing, Kristen has performed with several different orchestras and chamber groups, participated in competitions, and has also played in theater shows, dozens of weddings, and a ska band. She performed at the renowned Carnegie Hall in 2009 with the Greater New Orleans Youth Orchestra. In addition to playing classical music, Kristen also enjoys experimenting with other genres using her electric violin. She is currently pursuing a degree in Violin Performance at Loyola University in New Orleans."
